It is Difficult to Quantify
It is difficult to quantify all that walking by faith entails, but we know that without it, it is impossible to please God, who is faithful and will reward those who earnestly seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
What does it mean to walk by faith? Can it easily be defined? To walk by faith is to take a risk into the unknown. To step into water so deep that you have to stand on God’s promises which is where you should be standing anyway.
To walk by faith is the life of a Christian who desires wholeheartedly to live like Jesus lived. It takes faith to take a stand for what is right no matter where you are at. It takes faith to enter into something new because it may change everything. Isn’t this how life is?
No it is not easy to walk by faith; this due to the fact that it requires abandonment of self in surrender to the Almighty God who we cannot see, but faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In other words it is being sure of what we hope for and certain about what we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1) and blessed are those who believe without having to see (John 20:29). For this is what we are to fix our eyes on (II Corinthians 4:18).
Do you have Faith to trust God with utter abandon for everything in your life? Are you willing to step into water so deep and stand on God’s promises clinging to Him with your life? Will you earnestly and diligently seek to know Him more each day and so increase the Faith that you have? The choice is up to you.
Yes, Faith is essential and it is lived out as we trust God’s timing for everything in our lives because He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine according to His power that is at work in us (Ephesians 3:20-21).
Be Blessed because there is nothing that He withholds from Him whose walk is blameless (Psalm 84:11); from Him who walks by faith trusting and depending on Him for life.
