Verses I Claim when I think of Relationships—aka—Matters of the Heart
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As high as the heavens are above the Earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).”
“Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest…(Isaiah 57:2).”
“In that day they will say: Surely this is our God; we trusted in HIM…(Isaiah 25: 9).”
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you; trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD is the Rock eternal (Isaiah 26: 3-4).”
“WAIT for the LORD! Be strong and take heart; and wait for the LORD (Psalm 27:14).”
“Be still before the LORD and Wait Patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7).”
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken (Psalm 37:25).”
Speaking of wisdom—necessary in all relationship decisions: “Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace (Proverbs 3:17).”
LORD Jesus,
You are by my side no matter what; holding my hand through everything. Your ways are pleasant ways and all your paths are peace. You have the best plan for my life, and that special relationship. Help me to never cease to trust you with an unwavering faith that does not change. When I look up and fix my eyes on you, I am not so scared anymore because I remember once again that you are in control. It is your courage and strength pushing through to open my heart to the possibility of my life entwining with another’s. There is nothing to be afraid of because you are right there holding my hand as always before. Thank you LORD Jesus. I go forward with you. I love you, Amen!!!

Warriors
Warriors are INVICTUS, they cannot be conquered; Romans 8:37 says, “No, in all these things we are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us.
Warriors have courage in spite of their fears; Do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Warriors keep their eyes straight ahead; So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary and what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18); Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you (Proverbs 4:25).
Warriors do not dwell on their weaknesses because they know His grace is sufficient for them; But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…..” for when I am weak then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
Warriors rely on His strength; But they that wait upon the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Warriors wait patiently for the LORD; Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7). WAIT for the LORD. Be strong and take heart and WAIT for the LORD (Psalm 27:14).
Warriors know that Satan is already defeated; The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work (I John 3:8). The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet (Romans 16:20). AMEN!!!
Warriors rely on the love of Christ that cannot separate them from HIM; For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD (Romans 8:38-39).
Therefore, be a Warrior and fight for Christ in your life; When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with HIM in glory (Colossians 3:4)!!!

Thoughts from the WORD…when I cannot sleep!!!
Be still and know that I am God!
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart, and wait for the LORD!
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him!
Don’t resist the process! He will complete the work He started in you. He is in the process of preparation, developing you to be more like Himself. In addition, He is developing the person you have affection for and preparing you for each other if that be the case!
Seek peace (peace of mind) and pursue it!
It is a heart thing!
He has never see the righteous forsaken!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law!
I am more than a conqueror over anxiety in every part of my life!
Faith is willing belief!
It is all about the process that God takes you through no matter where you are in life.
We go through things so we can help others and encourage them!
Choose to WIN—Choose to be a CONQUEROR!!!
LORD Jesus, give me peace and help me to sleep tonight. Thank you for what you have brought about in my life and the ways you are preparing and developing me, making me more like you. Take away my anxiety because all things work out the way you want them to. I love you, Amen!!!
Affection…
The affection I have for you
makes it hard for me to sleep
I can’t stop thinking
about the possibilities
I pray my heart will be still
that I would rest and chill
the affection I have for you
is deeply running still
I hope and pray
we connect again soon
my heart is racing
and if it had wings
it would soar
the affection I have for you
is a wonder and so new
I think you like me to
which makes this
so real and so true

stems out of that

Not Only…
Not only must there be a first in all relationships, but
they cannot be rushed!!!
Relationships take time to develop as you get to know each other and the people that are the most important in each others’ lives over the course of time.
Precious relationships like this are to be enjoyed and cherished as two people get to know one another.
Be patient, do not arrouse or awaken love until it so desires, no matter how long it takes.
Relationships require FAITH, PRAYER and THANKSGIVING.
Relationships require periods of WAITING.
So, worship while you wait, do the work you must do, don’t just sit around wishing that Mr. Right will come sweep you off your feet; get out there and live your life. If a potential fellow comes into your life, do not stop your dreams for it is your very heart, your dreams that really attract him to you. It is that fabulous person who you are that makes him fall for you. So, keep pursuing your dreams, don’t be in a rush, but enjoy the specialness of that guy’s affection. Do not rush to the altar, but take time to savor every moment, for life is not the amount of breaths you take; it is the moments that take your breath away; and there will be many of those with or without a special guy in your life. God gives us every reason to be lost in wonder; He takes our breath away by the many things He does in and through us. So, worship while you wait, worshiping involves committing your life to what God has called you to do no matter what. After all our lives here on Earth are to be a living sacrifice to HIM (Romans 12:1); for our relationship with Him is paramount to all other relationships we will have in our lives. Pray for that right someone who believes the same thing, and do not rush the process of really getting to know them. Pray, pray and then pray some more because distance, time, changes in life will not be able to keep you separated if God wants the two of you together.
I am yet to see this all played out, but I trust God to give me wisdom in this precious area of my life!!! He is in control and He can do all things!!! With Him all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)!!!
I trust HIM by FAITH!!!

Adventure…
…is one of those things that happens
when life truly begins to unfold
when you step out in faith
trusting God
letting His will
become known in your life
when things start to change
when adventure
overtakes you
you will never be the same again
you will just want more of it
so you will keep walking in it!!!

and draw near to Him
He is your Creator
He is your Savior
He deserves it all

with His purpose in the forefront

Keep a Quiet Heart!!!
Keep quiet. Do the work you have to do in life, but inwardly keep quiet. Then you will have understanding (a quote off of a good friend’s blog site)!!!
Be still before the LORD and WAIT PATIENTLY For HIM!!!
Sometimes in life
we get so busy
so bogged down
so tired
we forget
the one thing
that is needed
to sit at HIS feet
to BE STILL
and KNOW
that HE is GOD
HE will be exalted
because HE is in control
if only we would let HIM be
if only we would
be anxious for nothing
and keep a quiet heart
if only we would do this
then we would have understanding
and not be afraid
of the next thing
HE has in store for us!!!
LORD Jesus, help me to be still. You never cease to amaze me through the many things you do. You have always provided for me, and you hold my heart in your hands. Help me to be still as I am at this very moment. Let my heart keeps quiet as I earnestly seek to know you so much more every day. Thank you for encouraging me so that I can do the same for others. Thank you for your victory in my life. Thank you for being my faithful, constant companion and lover of my soul that will never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you that I can trust your hand to lead and guide me each day. I love you my Savior, you are more than enough for me, Amen!!!

Firsts in Life
There has to be a first for everything, and it is the first that is often the hardest of all.
The first for everything breaks the ice especially in relationships when the adventure begins; the adventure that begins a deeper inquiry into another person’s life.
This must begin somewhere in relationships and…
They will continue as trust and commitment grow through communication. There is nothing to be afraid of if God is in it because He gives courage in spite of any fears.
Relationships, especially the first step is a step of faith that involve not one, but two people.
Faith is taking steps out of our comfort zone not knowing what is going to happen but trusting the ONE you cling to each and every day. He must be the center of both sides.
He is in control and He will be with you through all the firsts in the adventure.
Be still before the LORD and WAIT patiently for HIM in all situations. Do not be afraid, He is with you holding your hand!!!
Although firsts may seem difficult, they are necessary as they keep you walking by FAITH!!!

If…
If you take the beauty from all over the world; the Black Forest in Germany, the Beaches in San Diego and beyond, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Yosemite in California, the mountain ranges in Washington State; and remove all of the man-made entities in between, then we’d literally be in heaven; in yet heaven will be so much better because He will make all things new. It is AMAZING how every piece of God’s creation gives us just a little glimpse into what heaven will be like. I am so glad I am going there, how about you??? Trust Jesus as your personal Savior and you will!!! If for no other purpose, this is why I write, so others might see HIM. That they would open the door of their hearts and let HIM in, so that they will taste and see that HE is good—so that I will see them one day around HIS heavenly throne!!!
