Sometimes I wonder why things must change in any given situation, but I know and I can attest that whatever changes may occur, they are for the BEST even though I may not understand all the implications at the time.  God is good and I can trust Him because He is all-knowing and in control.

Change always happens for the better when we keep our eyes fixed on Him.  When we do this, we can handle anything that comes our way.  In this way we will not regret the decisions that we have made.  Change is good, in that when you are involved in His work, you can rely on the fact that God knows exactly what He is doing.

Thank you, dear LORD, for changes that occur in life in their various forms. I am excited about what you have in store and I want to experience everything you have for me.  I love you, Amen!!!

The Answer is Quite Simple—but I have to believe it with my whole heart, which is hard on my own power; which is why I have the God who knows to give me His strength and His wisdom!!!

He says to, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything through prayer and thanksgiving let my requests be made known to Him.  I must rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything.”  This way He will undeniably increase in my life.  After all, isn’t that what I want Him to do???

I think I found the diagnosis and cure for homesickness.

My head and my heart struggle to agree.

My head knows that I must be content and satisfied solely by God,

although my  heart longs and longs and longs some more.

My heart struggles with the idea of surrender.

My heart is scared to do so,

to let go and trust the Almighty hand that directs my path every day.

My head knows that I must.

My head is content and satisfied in only Him,

but my heart is not.

My heart struggles.

My heart wants what it wants when it wants it.

It does not want to wait.

It does not want to give it time.

It’s desires penetrate deep,

deep to the core of who I am.

Oh God, how do I make my head and my heart agree?

How do I get to the point of sweet surrender into your loving hands?

Sweet Surrender where my head and my heart are content,

content to be satisfied only in you.

Content so that I can live my life free from worry and frustration.

Content so that I will  not live a flustered and confused life.

Content with the peace that passes all understanding.

I struggle God,

I struggle,

with the longings of my heart.

Do I really believe?

Really believe that you can fulfill my deepest darkest longings

as only you can.

Do I really believe?

I want to,

LORD, I want to so bad.

I know only you can complete me,

and you have nothing but good in store for me,

and that you have the perfect plan for every part of my life.

I know that only you fully satisfy me in every way.

I know that you alone are God, and you know all things.

Help me, LORD,

Give me an undivided heart,

so that I may fear your name.

I long for you to teach me your ways.

I Love you,

Thank you for hearing my heart,

my soft and fragile heart,

that is easily swayed by thoughts

that drive me insane.

I Love you, my Savior,

who saves me,

in everyway,

a person

can be saved.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you as well.  Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:33-34).”

Bottom Line:  SEEK HIM FIRST ABOVE ALL ELSE!!!

Ok, God, that is what I will do!!!

I love my new job.  I love the fact that my principal has found favor with me.  She has known me but a mere two months, but it is as if she has known me all of her life.  She speaks the world of me.  She cannot stop praising me and telling me how wonderful I am.  I love to hear this, God, thank you that I have found such favor in her eyes.  Thank you for working through me.  Her words mean so much to me and they draw me back to you because you are my God and you have made me who I am and you know who you are creating me to be.  The bigger picture lies in your hands, only help me to live up to what I have already obtained.  Help me to live one day at a time because so much happens in one day that I do not want to miss it for a second.   LORD God, you are my strength and my portion, therefore, I will wait for you.  I love you.  Thank you for your favor manifested by my principal.  She is awesome.  I know I am hear for such a time as this to give my 110% and make a difference in the life of a child through being their teacher.  I love each and every one of my kids with all my heart, even when they struggle to behave.  I know each kid is in my class for a reason and I look forward to getting to know them throughout the year.  Thank you for Sarah and her friendship since I arrived.  She has been amazing as a fellow teacher and sister in Christ.  I am so glad that I have been able to get to know her better.  Thank you so much for the rapport I have with everyone on staff, and for the favor I have with the administration.  I know I must give the other part of my life time.  The social, the part that misses home, and gets homesick whenever I think about how much I miss everyone.  I must press on in spite of this.   You, O LORD, my God, promise to provide for my every need.  Thank you for my visitors and the phone calls I have been able to make.  Thank you for letters and every little bit of encouragement that comes my way.  Help me to give it just the same.  I long to be an even better encourager that shows your love wherever I go.  I need to give things time, I need to give the social thing time.  I know it all takes time, time to adjust, time to be at the place where I willingly surrender my all to you.  Help me to give it the time and let patience have her perfect work.  I want this patience, I want this peace.  I need your wisdom, I need your strength, O LORD.  I wake up excited, I go through a mixed range of emotions, but every day I am drawn back to you at its end.  I am beckoned back to your loving arms, your warm embrace that will always be there no matter where I am.  Thank you O LORD, my God, I am truly blessed as I remember all you have brought about in my life, the many ways you have rocked my world so far.  I know I have not seen anything yet.  I Love you, Amen!!!

…in a Whirlwind of Change, but there is one who remains the same no matter what!!!

“For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with Thanksgiving because it is consecrated by the Word of God and Prayer (I Timothy 4:4-5).” After all, we are to “rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything ( I Thessalonians 5:16-19),” which is His will for us in Christ Jesus.

His blessings overflow so that I will have life and have it more abundantly.  All He requires of my is my faithful obedience to do what He has purposed before the foundations of the world for me to do.

“Do not be deceived, my dear brothers.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17).” 

Though life changes, and it does, God who blesses those who are faithful to Him remains the same throughout these changes.  He is the one you can cling to and embrace.  He is your comfort, strength, and shield.  That He will always be.   He does not want you to be misled into thinking anything other than He is a God who never changes.  He is who He is and that He has always been and will be.

Therefore, seek to know Him more clearly and choose to live a life that pleases and wants to be like Him above all else.  Then, watch Him do exceedingly abundantly more than you could ever imagine.
