From my talks with God…

All of life, especially the best things, require us to step out of our comfort zones and walk by faith….and you are to rejoice before the LORD your GOD in everything you put your hand to (Deuteronomy 12:18).  God does not want us to be afraid, but to trust HIM although things might seem scary at first.  He never said it would be easy, especially new relationships, but He promises to be with us and guide us through it all!!!

I feel like I could fall

for someone I’ve never met

only talked to

only emailed

only one thousand miles away

I feel like I could fall

but I know I must guard my heart

to wait with patience

and faithfully

serve the LORD

He has given me dreams

and abilities

I want to be used

for Him so fully

but I feel like

I so

want to share

it with this person

I love it when we talk

to hear his voice

as he says my name

I am glad we can do this

from a thousand miles

apart

if we ever meet

then it will be so sweet

no matter what happens

because he will be a gift from heaven!!!

It is something I must do

to look in your eyes

to gaze at your face

“I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD; the deeds for which HE is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us (Isaiah 63:7).  This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name.  They were given rest by the SPIRIT of the LORD.  Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who WAIT for HIM.  YOU come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways (Isaiah 64:4-5).  Yet, O LORD, YOU are our Father, we are the clay, YOU are the potter; we are all the work of your hands (Isaiah 64:8).”

Adventure…

…is one of those things that happens

when life truly begins to unfold

when you step out in faith

trusting God

letting His will

become known in your life

when things start to change

when adventure

overtakes you

you will never be the same again

you will just want more of it

so you will keep walking in it!!!

Never in my Life

Never in my life

have I ever felt this much freedom

the possibilities are endless

as dreams are unfolding

God has blessed my life so much

I just want to live it out

I want to be wherever I need to be

with Him as my guide

He is always by my side

He goes before me

Never in my life…

This poem describes my life exactly.  Not too long ago, I was scared.  Fearful to step away, to leave the place I knew and loved.  I was afraid to get out of the boat and walk on water like the disciples who stayed in the boat.  I was scared I would fall, that I would sink.  I wanted to stay as close to what I knew as possible.  I wanted to be comfortable.  That all changed, when God finally got through to me.  The choice was clear.  I either had to take that step knowing he would be with me to lead me on the greatest adventure of my life, or stay close to what I knew which may have worked out alright but not have been as thrilling and faith driven.  Since I decided to take that step, there is no turning back.  He has led me through the fire, and I will come forth as gold.  He has led me through the joys and the pain, and my life will never be the same.  Although it is not easy, I have chosen the path that has so far led me on the greatest adventure of my life, and this in turn has given me the most freedom and peace that I have ever had.  As the old hymn says, “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.”  Yes, follow Jesus wherever He leads and do not turn back!!!

“It is not about being strong and together; it is about depending on God in the midst of my fear and inadequacy. In the gospels, Jesus did not show the disciples how capable they were; he brought them into situations where their complete lack and utter dependence on God, on Him, were revealed. The storm pushing the sides of the ship as the expereinced fishermen believe they will die. Jesus calms the storm. Send the crowds away, teacher. They are hungry. Jesus looks at his disciples, You feed them. With what? they reply. Jesus feeds the multitudes. Again and again Jesus reveals that He is enough; He is all. It is in Him that we live and breathe and have our being.”

“Do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you-I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).”

Uncertian Times

Although times are uncertain

and things in life may seem full of ambiguity

that can go in so many different directions

it is the Uncertainty

of these times

that draw me to YOU

It is the Uncertainty of life that makes it

worth living

It is the Uncertainty that makes it

all the more exciting

because

I walk by FAITH

not by sight

Dear LORD Jesus,

Thank you that you are in control

of these uncertain times

in my life

Thank you that you are in charge

of the next steps I will take in my life

as you reveal them to me day by day

at exactly the right time

as I walk closely with YOU

This is the day that you have made

I will rejoice and be glad in it

wherever I am!!!

It’s OK to have Questions!!!

In this journey of faith, it is ok to have questions.  This questions keep you seeking His wisdom and reaching out for His hand!!!

What happens when I have faith as a mustard seed?

What happens when I rely on His strength?

What happens when I fully trust Him and give Him my everything because He is?

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

What happens when I live to glorify Him?

What happens when I wait for His timing in my life?

What happens when I resolve to give Him my best in every area?

What happens when I believe in His purpose for my life?

What happens when I really pray without ceasing?

What happens when I have courage in the midst of my fears?

What happens when I truly leave everything in His hands?

What happens to a heart that is fully surrendered to Him?

What happens when I reach out to those who so desperately need your love?

What happens when I live each day in your rest and peace?

What happens when I am thankful?

What happens when I let you be in control?

What happens when I keep my eyes on Him?

What happens when I let God do what only He can do?

Romans 8:26-27 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we outgh to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express; and He who searches the heart knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

What happens when?  The possibilities are unlimited because we live for a God who makes all things possible!

Ephesians 3:20-21 He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine according to His power that is at work in us; to Him be glory forever in Christ Jesus-He is able!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

What happens when…YOU gave everything so I could live, why not give it all to Him? Why not trust YOU with the life YOU gave me to live?  Help me not to waver in unbelief but be strengthened in my faith that seems smaller than a mustard seed at times.  I love you, my Sovereign LORD.  Amen!!!

Cries of Faith!!!

“LORD, I believe, but help my unbelief.”

“Is anything too hard for God???”

“With man it is impossible, but not with God, with God, all things are possible.”

“Don’t be afraid!!! Just believe!!!”

“Take courage!!! It is HE who will save you, He who will pull you through.”

When we cry out to God, it is a cry of Faith because we are reaching for the unseen; and we know that what is unseen is eternal; what is unseen must be sought by faith.

“Without Faith it is impossible to please Him because He who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him!!!”

With this hope, we press onward into all He has for us!!!

The LORD preserves the FAITHful!!!

Faith makes the seemingly impossible possible because it looks up and trusts God. Although you may feel like you are walking on a tight rope fifty feet up in the air, if you are a person of Faith, your eyes are fixed ahead as He is holding your hands walking beside you. He will never let the righteous fall.

Faith keeps walking this tight rope holding onto His hands. The LORD is your support, who trains your hands for battle and your feet for victory.

Faith looks ahead and sees the best, it does not turn back no matter what.

Faith stands firm in its convictions to the end and is renewed by waiting on the LORD by accepting the good and the bad with dignity and grace.

Faith loves without condition.

Faith rests in being obedient to Him and knows everything is better when casted on Him. His yoke is easy and His burden is light because He carries it.

Faith keeps walking because it knows God is in control. He is always FAITHful and it does not take a person of Faith long to figure that out.

Furthermore, faith looks ahead and keeps desire alive.

“Therefore let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess because He who promised is FAITHful and He will preserve those who are FAITHful to Him (Hebrew 10:23; Psalm 31:23).”

Your Love

Your love is like an ocean.

It washes upon the shore.

It gazes into the depths and will not let go of my soul.

Your love is like the ocean,

it glistens in the sun,

with the light of your radiance that shimmers with the dawn.

Your love is like an ocean,

to what can I compare.

Its height, its width, its depth so wide

could never quite compare.

how I long

to discover its depth,

to bask upon your waters

and explore your forever shore.

its mysteries are sure.

I long to gaze into your love,

to embrace you to the core.
