Thank you for my parents who love and support me no matter what who I never give enough props.

Thank you for my new car, my new apartment, and my new job (and everything else I didn’t mention).

Thank you for my new group of sixth graders.

Thank you for my new co-workers who I get to share ideas.

Thank you for opportunities to live for you wherever I am.

Thank you that you love me so much no matter what I do or how stupid I may act or how many times I think too much and drive myself crazy.

So many things and reasons I have to be thankful, in yet, I find it so easy to let stupid things I do and say get to me.  Why do I do this?  It is almost like I enjoy being discouraged.  No, no no!!! This is not going to be the way it is from this day forth.  I have way too much to be thankful for, way to much I look forward to.  I need you to take hold of my heart and help me to submit myself fully to you, resist the devil’s lies and then he will flee like the wind from me.  NO MORE NO MORE!!!!  Help me draw nearer to you so that I will not let that stupid no good liar get to me.

“Submit yourselves, therefore, to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:7-8).” 

Thank you for Answered Prayers!!!

“He doesn’t always answer our prayers in the way we think or even hope He will, but we have learned that He knows best and not necessarily everything we feel deeply about is necessarily true.” 

He answers prayers according to His own perfect will and in His perfect timing.  The closer we walk next to Him and get to know His heart, the more we will accept His answers for today knowing that He always has our best interest at heart.
