Straight from the WORD

I am he who will sustain you-I have made you and I will carry you-I will sustain you and I will rescue you (Isaiah 46:4).  For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways-for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so my thoughts are not your thoughts and your ways my ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).  I will guide you always and satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land-I will strengthen your frame-you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fall (Isaiah 58:11).

Glimpses of Truth

“Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart…Try to love the questions themselves…Do not now seek the answers, which can not be given because you would not be able to live them-and the point is to live everything.” Rainer Maria Rilke. This quote has some truth to it. In a lot of ways we are impatient people. We do not like to give things the appropriate wait time, or wait on God time, but this needs to happen. Wait time is crucial. God is not going to give you everything at once. He is not going to resolve everything in your heart right away. This is what keeps us seeking him. Although I received this quote from a secular source, I am amazed at the truth found in it. Proverbs 20:21 says “an inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.” Basically, things hastened into without the proper prayer and seeking God who has given every opportunity are going to quickly fade, but those given the proper time will be blessed with His favor. This my friend, may seem like an easy concept to grasp, but it is in effect one of the most difficult to put into practice with in today’s time with all its hurrying and rushing around. In addition, there are four agreements that could well be essential for life, a life lived in control of the Spirit:
(again these are found in a secular source, so judge for yourself)

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz:
1. Be Impeccable with your word (Well, lying lips are an abomination to the LORD)

2. Don’t make assumptions (judge not lest you be judged)

3. Always do your best (do your work wholeheartedly as to the LORD)

4. Don’t take it personally (take all things with a grain of salt and test everything; God knows our hearts).

Hmmm….all are biblical principles written by a secular author who does not believe in God whatsoever!!!

Christian Advocacy

“A gospel that doesn’t unsettle, a word of God that doesn’t get under anyone’s skin, a word of God that doesn’t touch the real sin of the society in which it is being proclaimed, what gospel is that (Archbishop Oscar Romero)?”   Certainly not the Gospel that the ancients in the Faith Hall of Fame died for, Read on:

But they died for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that made several uncomfortable, got under people’s skin as it made them think, and in love taught that all are sinners, but that they could be saved if they only repent and turn from their wicked ways.  This is the true Gospel they died for:

“Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection.  Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison.  They were stoned, they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword.  They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated-the world was not worthy of them.  They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.  These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised (Hebrews 11:35-39).”

They were all looking to the place where their true citizenship resided when they were tortured to death.  They could endure the intense pain because although their body was broken, they knew they would soon be restored to a new and more elegant version of themselves in the presence of their Maker where they would continue to worship and praise Him forever (Philippians 3:20).  In addition, they also concurred that, “he is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose (Jim Elliot).”

What does this mean for us today, in the 21st century, in America, where we are free to worship as we choose???  We are not off the hook for standing up for God.  We are not off the hook for praying without ceasing, and obeying Him in everything.  We are not definitely not off the hook for being on call 24/7 to represent Him, to preach the gospel at all times and if necessary use words.

We are to be “people who pray for courage, for the strength to bear the unbearable, for the grace to remember what they have left instead of what they have lost, and therefore, when they pray this way, find their prayers answered because they have tapped into the hidden reserves of faith and courage that they could not see and utilize before (Harold Kushner).”

At all times, we must be people who remember who our leader is, and that we must remain loyal to Him at all costs as we reach out to people around us and beyond strengthening and encouraging those who are in the faith and sharing the hope that we have with those who do not know so that they can experience His true joy forever.

Be Blessed as your faith is strengthened as you draw closer to Him and represent Him in all you do!!!

To Be Honest

I can honestly say that I am crazily in love with Jesus,  and if you are not, that is ok, cause you are the one missing out!!!

What are you missing out on?

Well…Get to know Him and you will find out, I guarrantee you will want to know Him too.

My passionate love for Him grows with each passing day because each day is a new opportunity for me to learn more about Him.

Yes, I am in Love, Crazy and in Love with the Creator of the Universe who loves me more intimately than any other and wants to love you in this way too.  Will you let Him?  Will you embrace this love I have found?

He loves you and wants to spend eternity with you if only you would choose Him.

Praise the Lord if you have already found this greatest love of all and keep seeking if you have not.  He is not far from you.

Where do you Hide your heart???

Posted in Truths on December 25, 2006 by schoolgirl777

You are my hiding place, you always fill my heart with songs of deliverance, whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.  I mean really, I will trust in you whenever I am afraid.  Whenever I sink into that comfort zone of holding on to what I know I need to give up, give up to the Sovereign Lord who is in control of my life because it is ultimately His.

If this life is all about Him, I have no reason not to surrender my heart to His Sovereign Power because He knows my life through and through.  He owns it.  I need to be obedient and let go no matter how uncomfortable it makes me feel.  It is not about my feelings but God’s ways and God’s time.  Life is all about Him, so it must be left in His hands.

Lord, Why do I like to hide in my comfort zone of self instead of surrendering my heart?  I do not want this comfort zone to be a comfort zone any longer.  I want to get so good at surrender that I do it naturally.  I want to see you work in your indescribable ways and not worry about being comfortable in my heart.  I want to hide myself in you.  For you alone give me the strength I need to battle this heart of mine.  You alone give me the strength I need to surrender my heart once again to your ways and your time.  You alone hold my heart in your hands and you will never let me go, never.  I Love you my Lord, my strength, my comfort.  Help me to embrace the surrender that makes me uncomfortable and rest in your comfort.  You are always there holding my hand and carrying me, and I know I can fall into your arms of love anytime.  I Love you again and again, Amen!!!

Dependency Requires Surrender

Posted in Truths on December 16, 2006 by schoolgirl777

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, since we have been renewed, let us discipline ourselves for the purpose of godliness (getting to know the heart of God) by obeying Him fully because He did so much for us (Titus 3:5-6; I Timothy 4: 7-8).

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, therefore, I have no need to be afraid of anything. While I am present in the body, yes, I am not physically with the Lord, but while in the body my purpose is to do the work He has called, purposed me to do since before the foundations of the world. This will undeniably bring Him glory (Philippians 2:23-24; Ephesians 2:10).

In this way we are dependent on Him (the anchor of our souls) who sends us out to do His work, we trust Him by Faith not by sight as we walk in light of the truth of His Word in obedience. It is through trusting that our faith is increased, and patient endurace through faithful prayer that we will accomplish much for Him (Hebrews 6:13-20).

Indeed, so much depends upon our dependency on God, therefore, surrender to be like Christ in true righteousness and Holiness as you wait patiently with endurance because He who called you is Faithful and He will do it (Philippians 2:1-11; I Thessalonians 5:24)!!!

Dependency for this Season

Posted in Truths on December 16, 2006 by schoolgirl777

So much depends on you my LORD because if it doesn’t, life is worthless, meaningless, a chasing after the wind.  No matter what I read in your Word, I am always brought back to the central figure of Jesus and the basic fundamentals that should be characteristic of my life with Christ.

Knowing what He went through just to be with me, there is no excuse for me not to be obedient to Him in everything.  My life belongs to Him for His glory and purpose.  He is the one I love forever.

It bugs me that people try to deny Him at this time of the year and so reduced this special time to “A Holiday Season.”  Why? Why? Why?  I say to heck with being politically correct because this season is about Jesus, so much depends on Him, and for good reason too, He has done so much for us, why not be solely dependant on Him?

At this time of year, it is “Merry CHRISTmas” or Happy Birthday Jesus!  For it is His day, His season, His way, His time.  It is not just meant to be one day, but a life style of learning to depend on Him more and more each day.  Therefore, He is the Reason for Every Season.

Yes, it all goes back to the Fundamental Truth that Jesus came, showed us how to live in devotion to the one true God, died, was buried, and rose again.  Do not neglect this central figure in all of History.

So much depends upon our dependency on Jesus Christ, God’s One and Only Begotten Son!!!

My Dependency Needs His Divinity

Posted in Truths on December 14, 2006 by schoolgirl777

So much depends upon my dependency on God.

So much depends on my God, and it breaks my heart that people can be so blind to His truth.  This truth that will set them free and change their lives forever.

But that is just it, since it changes lives forever it is a risk and for some there is much they think they have to consider before taking.  What they do not perceive is that it is a risk that is well worth the chance because they will receive a life that is so much greater than any they could ever imagine.

Again, So much depends on you my Lord, and that is where my dependency needs to be in order that I might be truly free, free to live as you intend for me.   Free to share your love and joy with those in dire need.
